0 to 60 in 60 Years
(built for comfort, not for speed)
Well sportsfans, next Monday I'll be turning 60 (and maybe Japanese). I never thought I'd make it this far, but unless I get hit by a bus or a low-flying black helicopter, come 12 November I'll be blowing out five dozen candles on some probably virtual birthday cake. Chances are, I'll be celebrating alone, as last night I had a terrible row with Kitty-Kitty and she stormed out with my keys and drove off somewhere. I caught her reading Atlas Shrugged again and told her I wouldn't have any cat of mine reading trash like that in my house! As usual, I was possibly a little harsh. She's generally a nice cat and I hope she comes back soon.

Now I know you're all thinking: but what I can I do to make RageBoy's Special Day even more special? Hmmm, lemme think for a second. OK, second's up. Here are some lovely gifting options...

  • You can give me money via PayPal or your Major Credit Card (enter "Item" and "Unit price" of choice, though chances are excellent you'll never see Item).
  • You can snailmail me CASH in an envelope (Chris Locke, 817B E. Moorhead Circle Boulder, CO, 80305, USA).
  • You can buy me an Amazon Gift Certificate (use clocke@panix.com).
  • You can buy me some insanely expensive Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee, or a book about Relational Psychoanalysis or the CIA, or a nice Witness Protection Program cap from my Amazon Wish List.
  • You can reimburse me the five bucks I gave to some shivering old bag lady a couple nights ago in Denver (or better, find your own and do likewise).
  • You can find my cat for me and tell her I didn't really mean it -- except for the part about Ayn Rand being a witless bitch.
  • You can just sit there and feel superior and imagine that that, in itself, is your gift to the world.
  • You can rot in hell.

Once again, fewer suggestions might have been better, but I've always been something of a completist.

Whether or not you opt to gift me, here is my perhaps highly questionable gift to you. It was snapped a couple days ago at Eric Norlin's Defrag conference in Denver. From left to right are JP Rangaswami (read more about the pic there), Doc Searls, David Weinberger, and yours truly RageBoy® (is it just me, or is Mr. Boy looking a bit FAT?)

(btw, as I am going over to the US Gummint dole office this afternoon to apply for food stamps, I really could use the money. one of these days soon I'll tell you all about it. maybe.)

Until a minute ago, I had no photos. I still have no photos to speak of. I don't even have a camera. But all these people were linking to "my photos." It was embarassing. It's still embarassing. But I'm used to that.
